An Israeli man from the northern Druze town of Majdal Shams, near the Syrian border, was lightly wounded by stray gunfire which spilled over from Syria.
Police and IDF responding to Syrian border to prevent Druze riots after the Druze town of Khader, in Syria, was attacked by Syrian rebels.
“This was stray fire from heavy fighting taking place on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights,” a spokesperson said.
Army sources say fighting inside the Druze town of Hader has escalated on Friday. Due to the town’s proximity to Israel, the IDF is closely following developments in Hader.
